DMA's Pep Rally and Spirit Week
By: Lawrence McNutt
On the 19th of October, DMA had its first pep rally of the year for Fall sports. It went very well with the band performing, cheerleaders keeping the spirit high, and winter sports teams celebrating the close of the season. Josh Markle states, "The pep rally was pretty fun." and Brendon Fitzerald says, "It was pretty solid." Several events took place such as: Tug-a-war, a hoola hoop contest, and the teachers performing their own dance routine. Student President Bidgood and Vice President Checci did a fantastic job setting up for the pep rally and spirit week. After the fact Danni Checci said she "Thought it went smoothly, and was a lot of fun". The hallways were decorated according to grade class color, streamed with balloons and streamers. Each day of the week prior had a designated dress code. Spirit Week started on Tuesday with Patriotic Day. On Wednesday cadets came to school for the PSATs, which was not as fun as Spirit Week but nonetheless important. Thursday was class color day, and Friday was spirit wear day. Spirit Week is always a highly anticipated time of year and gets everyone pumped for the Homecoming Game.

Homecoming Dance
By: Lawrence McNutt
By: Lawrence McNutt
Homecoming took place here at DMA on the 20th of October. It went very well starting at 7:00 p.m and lasting until 11:00 p.m. A lot of DMA's cadets attended the dance along with several other guests. The music was great with the new DJ and there were plenty of snacks and drinks. Over all, everyone who attended the dance had a great time. Tyler Noethiger says, "The dance was a lot of fun" and Ashlynne Foley said she "had such a great time." The homecoming queen was Ashlynne Foley and the homecoming king was Nick Brams. The homecoming court was Jacob Hudson and Lindsey Wolfe (Freshman), Paige Bozemen and Brendan Mahoney (Sophomores), Anthony Turulski and Marissa Aviola (Juniors).
